Today we went to the Zoo with Kelley and Hailey! We got to see all the animals! The girls had so much fun together! Hailey was so cute....everywhere we went she would tell us what animal was next. We got to see the baby goats, camels, snakes, tigers, fish, and all other kinds of animals!! Oh and a special thank you to my friend Luke! He works there and gave the girls both "ZOO" bracelets! It was such a beautiful day! Hopefully we will be able to go again soon!

Miriam and Andy

So on Saturday we went with Adam, Nelson, Miriam and Andy(Nelson's two little girls) to Brent's grandparents farm. We were taking some hay to them that the boys have been cutting and bailing and what ever else you have to do to hay before you sell it!! We had two big trailer loads! While the trailers were being unloaded the girls had fun just hanging out on the porch, picking cherries and exploring the farm! Then we all had some of Nana's wonderful Bar-B-Q, corn, mashed potatoes, beans, and hoecakes!! Nelson was very happy! He is always hearing how wonderful Nana's food is, and now he knows!

fruits of the spirit
This week Diane has been going to VBS at Woodson Chapel! We weren't able to go Sunday, but we did go Monday through Wed. They learned about the "Fruits of the Spirit"! She got to sing songs with ALL the big kids! The two year olds don't get to watch the puppet show they go to their class after songs, but next year they will be able too! I think her class even had 12 kids one night! Here are the crafts Diane did through the week! There are also some pictures of her and Abigail and Ansley from Tuesday night! Their Daddy was working so we helped Rebecca get them to the car! Oh and a special thank you to Ms. Sandra for their flower rings! The last night after class everyone ate homemade ice cream! It was so fun! Thank you to all the teachers and especially Diane's teachers Ms. Kay Green, Katie Green, and Elly Green!

Day Seven & Eight

Day Seven~ Friday

Today was our last day! Brent and I just took Diane to the pool along with Omee who by the way does NOT get in the water! So she sat in a chair and went to sleep! We then went and Brent just had to wash and vacuum the car out! So we went to this place called the showboat (see picture below)! Then Mom, Diane, and I went to the old town for some last minute shopping, while Brent and Omee took naps! When we got back we got ready and tried to get some cute family pictures but my camera decided to die and Diane was to excited, so we went to eat at this place called Zaharia’s! This was the only place I didn’t get a picture of! When we got back we went back and tried to get another picture! It didn’t go so well either! It was dark and my mom’s not a photographer! So we decided that was enough and went for a walk on the beach before going to the pool for the last time!

Day Eight~ Saturday~ Our last day!

We got up at 7:30 and left the condo around 8:30 to head home! We were very happy to be able to stop and see “Aunt Whitney” Brent’s brother’s wife! Nathan is in Kuwait right now but should be home next month! They live in Georgia so it was about half way! That made the trip a whole lot easier on Diane since we went during the day! We made it home around 10:00!!

Day Six

On Thursday we went and spent another day at the beach! We had lots of fun! Diane got to take a nap on the beach! Omee decided she would walk down and get her feet wet(she doesn’t like getting in the water)! However when mom stepped away to was sand off Omee fell it was very funny to see it happen! Omee didn’t find it very funny though and wanted to go back to the condo!

For dinner we decided to go to this restaurant called the Salt Water Cowboy that was actual out over the river. Well we got there and found out that it didn’t open til five so went driving! We went past all these beautiful homes! We saw one that looked like an igloo, and Brent just had to take a picture(see pictures below)! After we ate we went back and since Diane was such a good girl she got a surprise! My mom and I had found a doctor’s kit! She loves to play doctor!!

Day Five

On Wednesday we went to the pool in the morning well I guess you could say it was mid-morning! We had a lunch date at 1:30 with Clevie, Amy and Irvin! They are friends of my grandmothers that she has known for over 50 years! They took us to eat at O'steen’s! It’s the best seafood restaurant around! Every time we would come to see my grandparents my Grandpa Carl would take is and Clevie to eat there! So we continued the tradition! O'steen’s is this little whole in the wall places but the line is backed up early to get it! Fortunately they have antique store next door that even has an intercom system that tells you when your table is ready! After we ate we went back to the old town to go to a few more shops then headed back to swim!

This is our little lizard that lived with us for a week!
My grandmother was afraid of it...she thought it was a mouse!
